Gameplay-



I am going to be as honest as I can, please don't judge me because I didn't find the game appealing at all. To begin with Capcom has changed the Resident Evil franchise to appeal to more gamers, and it seems to they needed to make the game completely mindless in the process. By dumbing down the puzzles, and having you blast hoards of Spainsh.

I'll give the game this I did enjoy the new Camera angle, however that is all I like from the new gameplay elements, that and the intreactive cutscenes. Other than those 2 reason's everything has been redone, and I mean everything. The thrid person camera allows for easier control of the charcter. While the Cutscene's are (I'll admit it) some of the best out there, which have you push certain buttons to dodge an enemy's attacks.

With the good part out of the way let's get to what I absouletly despise about the game, now you have and over-use of guns, where about everytime you enter an area the game will set you up to kill about 5 more people. There's a merchant to help you in your mindless killing, by allowing you to upgrade weapon's and buy new ones, and it seems Spainish people like leaving money laying around.

Moving on another dreadful part of the game is the mediocore story it draw's away from what made Resident Evil unique in the past, it doesn't contain the T-Virus, it's all about Leon and him trying to save the president's idiotic daughter who manages to get caught repeatedly, it's just annoying.

Puzzles in the game have been totally dumbed down, there's not one in the game that any ape could figure out. The series has been known for challenging puzzles but these are just pathetic.

Graphics-



I'll give the game this it has gorgeous graphics. But my main issue is there is no sence of eerieness that the predecessors hold. The enviornements are enclosed and totally predictable, what I mean every enviornment holds no sence of fear and creepiness.

Sound/Audio-



In RE4 another issue is that the game let's you know when enemy's are attacking by either playing adrenlizing music or by having someone shout in Spanish. The music is orignal but not fitting, everytime you finish off the last villager of the hoard it stops and calms back down.

Replayiblity-



The game offers lots of different things to help it, a short Ada mission and a shoot'em up themed bonus game, where you simply kill person, after person. It also adds an extra difficulty setting, but it's not like tha game is hard, because it offers little challenge

Overall the game takes away from what made the franchise so great in the past and kills the complexity of it as well. I would like to point out this is my opinion, I would appreciate it if I weren't flamed for it, I was hoping I could share it with you guys, why? A well thought review but I don't agree with the score. I did like this game I admit it, but I've played the other ones and I like them just as much.

wow you really take time in your reviews don't you I agree with your review but if you got the game when it fist came out it's a little old when you go through it like 7 times on normal and professional ya know but still this is a great game

ya, I do, I like to put as much detail as I can. Anywho I got the game in Feb. But it got old as soon as I beat the Village my first playthrough. For most people it's great but not to me.
